1-Color Gummed Tape: The Packaging Solution That Sticks to the Plan
Keep your packages safe and secure with 1-color gummed tape. Water-activated tape bonds with cardboard when wet, which creates a stronger seal than regular adhesive tape. The material is reinforced with fiberglass strands, preventing the risk of tearing and tampering.
Choose between brown and white kraft tape material. Brown tape is better for all-around use while white is a good choice for colored and printed packages. You can choose a color from 15 different inks to print on your gummed tape. The design’s orientation and repeat length or pattern is customizable to your preference.
How to Use Water-Activated Tape
Water-activated tape uses a starch-based adhesive that only becomes sticky once moistened. For commercial quantities, we recommend using a dedicated tape dispenser. Otherwise, here’s a quick guide on hand-applying gummed tape:
- To begin, measure the length of tape you need for your package.
- Cut and set aside.
- Using a wet sponge, moisten the sticky side of the tape.
- Slowly apply on the box with pressure.
- Let dry. The tape should bond with the box and form a strong seal.
