How to Choose the Best Size for Kiss Cut Stickers

Kiss-cut stickers are available in four (4) different standard sizes – 2" x 2”, 3” x 3”, 4” x 4”, and 5” x 5”. If you need a custom size, choose Custom from the product calculator and enter the specific dimensions your branding requires. We can print stickers as large as size 8.5” x 11”.

Not sure what sticker size to get?

Design Tips for Kiss Cut Stickers

If you don’t have a sticker design ready yet, here are some design tips to make the most out of sticker printing with us.

Choose the right material for your design. You can choose between two (2) types of adhesives.

• White paper sticker is perfect for general indoor use. You can choose from three different finishes – matte, gloss, and high gloss. Matte gives your stickers an elegant, subdued effect; a gloss coat makes colors more vivid, while high gloss adds an extra shiny finish coupled with UV protection.
• White vinyl is our most durable sticker material. It’s 4 mil thick, waterproof, and resistant to tearing. It is UV-coated to provide extra protection from scratches and scuffs, as well as fading due to sun exposure. The UV-coating is extra glossy, so this material boosts saturation and design details.

Get creative with custom shapes. If you’ve always wanted to try unique and standout shapes, then kiss cut stickers are the perfect format to try them. The border around your sticker helps protect even the most intricate shapes.

Save your color setting to CMYK. This color space allows professional printers to product your design in the exact colors you want. If you select RGB color space, there is a great chance the colors may not print accurately.

Design in high resolution. At least 300 dpi. You can get more detail and greater resolution from an image with higher dots per inch. We recommend keeping small text to a minimum of 8 points and thin lines at 0.5 points to avoid problems during printing.

Kiss Cut Sticker Printing FAQs

What is the difference between kiss-cut and die-cut?

Die-cut stickers (or cut-to-size and singles) do not have the extra border around the design. Unlike kiss cut stickers, die-cuts are sliced through the sticker and paper backing. When you peel the die-cut stickers, you are not left with any stickers but just the backing.

Will the sticker size options be just the sticker design’s size or is it the border?

The size you select will be the entire sticker’s size when printed, including the border. For example, if you want the actual stickers to be size 3” x 3”, we recommend going up a size like 4” x 4”.

How long will it take to get a free design proof?

PDF proofs are ready within 6 hours to 24 hours after you place your order. You will receive an email notification once your proof is ready. To check the proof, just access your PrintRunner Account and approve it so we can continue processing your order. If we encounter file issues that require your attention, a representative will contact you before creating a PDF proof.

Can I get sticker samples?

If you’re not sure about what material to choose, you can request a sample kit. This includes our popular print products and a swatch kit that shows a variety of our materials, coatings, and features.

How will I know when my order has shipped?

PrintRunner will send you an email with a tracking number once your order is ready for shipping. If you selected the pickup option, you should receive an email informing you that your order is ready.
