Create Custom Apparel and Promotional Items With Direct-to-Film (DTF) Transfers
DTF transfers are perfect for multicolor patterns and a wide range of fabric varieties including cotton, polyester, nylon, and blends. Thanks to their versatility, the possibilities are endless.
With DTF transfers, your design is printed onto a cold film transfer film. Then when you are ready, the printed film can be transferred to fabric using a heat press machine, creating a vibrant and detailed design that is durable and wash-resistant, which means the graphics will still look good even after repeated use
This transfer printing method is ideal for creating custom tote bags, T-shirts, aprons, caps, sweatshirts, and other personalized apparel and giveaways.

File Requirements for Your Artwork
Follow these instructions to upload your artwork and create unique DTF transfers.
- PNG with transparent background (300 DPI recommended)
- Allocate 1/8” safety margin along all edges to avoid cutting a part of the design during trimming.
- Maximize space and cost by ganging up designs on your artboard.
- Full color with white underlay
- Maximum size for DTF transfers is 22” x 22”
- DTF transfers are trimmed based on the ordered size
Heat Press Requirements for DTF Transfers
The recommendations below are for reference only, as you may need to adjust the heat, pressure, and time according to individual machines and substrates.
- Pressure: 35-50 PS
- Pre-Press: 5-7 seconds until moisture is gone in the fabric
- Heat Press Machine: 290-320 F for 10-20 seconds
- Post-Press: 5-7 seconds with a Teflon sheet or other preferred material
